Attendee Event FAQ:

The Beyond Bedside Nursing Virtual Event is open to all nurses who are located in Canada and the United States. Most job opportunities we have curated for this event are located in Canada, but we hope to bring you some US opportunities as well.

On the event day we will have live webinars & information sessions that nurses from outside of Canada and the United States are also welcome to attend.

If you are an internationally educated nurse (IEN) interested in opportunities in Canada, we suggest you reach out to Adapt Immigration Inc. and CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses – both of which will have a booth present at the virtual event.

Yes, definitely! This virtual job fair is open to nurses with or without experience in nontraditional roles. In fact, most nurses attending likely only have bedside experience. You will learn about how to seek nontraditional roles and strategies to increase your chances of landing these jobs.

Jobs beyond the bedside are so diverse we can’t possibly list them all! But we are focusing on jobs that are NOT shift work, and do not involve having to work nights, weekends, or holidays. Many of them are outside of the hospital setting.

This is an informal opportunity to speak with recruiters from organizations who hire nurses for nontraditional roles. We encourage you to ask about job opportunities, but there will not be formal interviews at the event.

Yes, in addition to having employers who are recruiting for non-traditional nursing roles, we are hosting various free and paid workshops and will have various educational institutions present to showcase further education opportunities to advance your career within nursing.

You can register as an attendee for FREE by visiting the top of this event page and clicking on the “Register now” button under the attendees box. You will be redirected to a registration form on another page. Registration for the event can be completed up until the start time of the virtual job fair. Registration will open for participants closer to the event date.

You can update your resume, prepare your elevator pitch, research the participating employers or brands, and dress professionally. Visit our Resources Page to check to use resources we have prepared for attendees and new grads, such as our pre-event and post-event checklists.

Yes, we encourage you to upload your resume in PDF format when you register for the virtual job fair. Your resume will be shared with employers and only made visible by them, no other job seekers or attendees will see it.
